Your Guide to 30A
This guide covers the activities, the restaurants, the shops, and the annual events that make 30A worth the trip.

Things To Do
Activities On 30A
The Gulf and the coastal dune lakes are the main event. Paddleboards, kayaks, and bikes are easy to rent from spots all along the corridor, and the dune lakes are calm enough most mornings for beginners. Jet skis and parasailing are available nearby, so book ahead in summer.
On land, the Timpoochee Trail runs about 19 miles parallel to 30A, past the dune lakes and through the beach towns. Rent a bike and ride the whole thing, or just the stretch between Seaside and WaterColor. Golfers can tee off at Santa Rosa Golf & Beach Club.

Dining
Where To Eat On 30A
The food scene along 30A punches well above its size. For a casual night with live music, Stinky's Fish Camp in Dune Allen Beach serves Louisiana-inspired seafood from gumbo to fish tacos, and The Red Bar has been an iconic Grayton Beach destination since 1995. On Eastern Lake in Seagrove, Old Florida Fish House pairs coastal flair and excellent sushi with beautiful outdoor dining.
For a special night out, Cuvee 30A in Rosemary Beach is the only restaurant on the 30A stretch to earn Wine Spectator's Best of Award of Excellence, year after year. In Alys Beach, O-Ku is our pick for the best modern Japanese restaurant in Florida.
Shopping
Shopping On 30A
Shopping on 30A is all about small, local boutiques. In Seaside, shops and galleries ring the town center, and Sundog Books is a longtime favorite for browsing. Rosemary Beach's walkable town center is lined with clothing boutiques, home décor shops, and places to grab a coffee between stops.
If you're riding the Timpoochee Trail, Grayton Beach and WaterColor have a handful of smaller shops worth a stop along the way. The finds are local, and it's easy to spend an afternoon wandering from one beach town to the next.

Events
Annual Events Worth Planning Around
30A's calendar is full of events worth planning a trip around. Every January, the 30A Songwriters Festival fills venues across the corridor with hundreds of singer-songwriters. Each spring, the 30A Wine Festival brings tastings, dinners, and seminars to Alys Beach.
Through the warmer months, Seaside's town center hosts concerts and community events, and the holidays bring festive lights and gatherings to the beach towns. No matter when you visit, there's usually something happening along 30A.

Seaside's Famous Architecture
Seaside was designed in the 1980s as a model New Urbanist town. Its pastel cottages and white picket fences have appeared in films and architecture textbooks alike.
Coastal Dune Lakes
30A is one of only a handful of places in the world with coastal dune lakes. These rare freshwater lakes sit just behind the dunes and occasionally open to the Gulf.
Underwater Museum of Art
Just off Grayton Beach State Park, the first permanent underwater sculpture garden in the U.S. doubles as an artificial reef. Snorkelers and divers can explore it year-round.
Justin Gaffrey Gallery
One of 30A's most recognized artists works out of a studio in Blue Mountain Beach. His thick-palette coastal paintings are collected across the country.
30A Songwriters Festival
Every January, hundreds of singer-songwriters perform in venues across the corridor. It's one of the most attended music events on the Gulf Coast.
30A Wine Festival
Each spring, Alys Beach hosts the 30A Wine Festival, with tastings, winemaker dinners, and seminars that raise money for local children's healthcare.
