Your Guide to Sandestin
This guide covers the activities, the restaurants, the shops, and the annual events that make Sandestin worth the trip.

Things To Do
Activities In Sandestin
Sandestin sits between the Gulf and Choctawhatchee Bay, with more than seven miles of beach and bayfront. Golfers have three courses to choose from: Raven, Baytowne, and The Links. The resort also has 15 tennis courts and a full spa.
On the bay side, Baytowne Marina runs sunset cruises, bay fishing, and deep-sea fishing charters, and paddleboards and boats are easy to rent. Back in the Village of Baytowne Wharf, kids can take on the zipline, ropes course, and mini golf while you grab a coffee.

Dining
Where To Eat In Sandestin
Sandestin's dining scene runs from laid-back waterfront spots to a true special night out. For a casual meal, Marina Bar & Grill is a waterfront dive bar overlooking Baytowne Marina and Choctawhatchee Bay, serving lunch, happy hour, and dinner.
For something more refined, Ovide at Hotel Effie combines timeless Gulf Coast flavors with Southern culinary heritage in a beautiful setting, and Seagar's Prime Steaks & Seafood at the Hilton Sandestin Beach is a longtime favorite. At Grand Boulevard, Vin'tij Food + Wine pairs a seasonal menu with an extensive wine list.
Shopping
Shopping In Sandestin
Grand Boulevard is Sandestin's outdoor town center, with brands like Tommy Bahama, Orvis, and J.Jill alongside local shops like Sunset Shoes and The Zoo Gallery. When the afternoon gets hot, Boulevard 10 is a dine-in movie theater right in the middle of it all.
Inside the resort, the Village of Baytowne Wharf is lined with boutiques selling clothing, art, jewelry, toys, and candy, so it's easy to browse between dinner and dessert. For bigger shopping trips, Silver Sands Premium Outlets is just down Highway 98 in Miramar Beach.
Events
Annual Events Worth Planning Around
Sandestin's calendar centers on the Village of Baytowne Wharf. Every April, the Sandestin Wine Festival, the longest-running wine festival on the Gulf Coast, brings tastings, winemaker dinners, and live music to the village. Winter brings the Sandestin Gumbo Festival, and the Fourth of July means fireworks over the village lagoon.
Through the summer, the village hosts concerts, movie nights, and family shows, and the holidays bring sparkling lights and festive gatherings. No matter when you visit, there's usually something happening in Sandestin.
